Press Release

Pan Macmillan Publishing Director Wayne Brookes has acquired UK and Commonwealth rights to "For the Sake of her Children" and one other novel from Diane Allen, the General Manager of Magna Large Print. UK and Commonwealth Rights were acquired from Judith Murdoch. 'Diane Allen has written a riveting and tantalising tale. It's full of love and loss, heartache and pain and set within the stunning Yorkshire Dale. As soon as it landed on my desk, I knew I had to have it on the Pan Macmillan list.' Diane commented. I've always been lucky enough to live in beautiful surroundings and had a fascination with local history, so the next step was to write it down. I feel that I'm so lucky to have been recognised as a writer and hope that this novel will be the first of many more to come.' Judith Murdoch added 'after years of selling books to Diane it is lovely to sell one by her!" (And I expect the Large Print and Audio rights to For The Sake of Her Children to be the most hotly contested this year!) . Diane really knows what makes a great saga after years spent reading the best.'
